This was always the vision…for the future. Recent events made us realize if our dream life is something we always vision for our future, it will always remain in our future. The time is now. Perfect or not, we must go for our dreams, today. It’s time we start investing in the areas we can: simple living, and appreciating the enriching aspects of a healthy lifestyle.
Nourish and bloom began out of a desire to get back to what truly matters, our health and our home. We don’t have the perfect mountain modern, eco-warrior-homestead we want to share with you, we don’t live a 100% perfect example of a healthy lifestyle, and the garden in our new 500sq. ft. apartment is well, non-existent for now. But we’re here, sharing our journey and hoping we can inspire you along the way. Wherever we are, and wherever you are, we can create a beautiful home with what we have right now.
For the love of food and flowers
I’m a nutritionist, pro bodybuilder, and food enthusiast. I really don’t care about following diets, celery juice or a magical protocol. But I DO care about health and eating real food. I also care about eating food that tastes GOOD. I love loosing myself in the kitchen, celebrating the flavors from my garden, and feeling energized from the food I eat. I don’t eat perfectly. I have a real big sweet tooth. Food serves many functions in our lives and my hope is to empower all of us to connect with our bodies and know what is best for us at any given time.
Alongside my nutrition clients, I fell in love with my side-job of nine years, gardening. This love of flowers and design grew to become a full-time landscaping company. Meanwhile, Ian started flipping houses and investing his time in real estate. We wanted a place to bring it all together. At the center of all we have been doing for the past ten years, is a passion for living in harmony with what is healthy for the earth and its people, and pursuing a beautiful, inspiring homestead.
